Hays Travel agents from Stockton Heath, Torquay, Gosport and Southbourne have raised hundreds of pounds for local charities through sponsored runs, walks and even a haircut.
Lisa Booth, branch manager at Stockton Heath, raised more than £600 for a Warrington hospice by taking part in the Peak District Ultra Challenge event on June 28.
She completed the 25km challenge to raise money for St Rocco’s Hospice which provides specialist palliative care for people in the area with life-limiting illnesses.
Meanwhile, a six-strong team from Hays Travel in Torquay completed a 10-mile walk from Brixham to Torquay harbour to raise money for Devon Mind.
They have raised £605 for the charity who have been providing mental health support services for people in Devon for more than 40 years.

Elsewhere, a team from Hays Travel in Gosport took part in their local 5k Race for Life in Portsmouth and raised £645 for Cancer Research UK.
Finally, Jade Ayley, manager at the Southbourne branch, donated her hair to Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs for children and young people who have lost their own hair through treatments for diseases such as cancer.
She has also raised almost £400 for the charity through donations from friends, family and colleagues.
“Earlier this year, I decided I wanted a change in hair style. I had really long hair and was thinking of a pixie cut, which meant a lot of hair could potentially be wasted,” she said.
“I’d heard about Little Princess Trust, but after doing some research I knew it was the right decision. It made sense to be able to donate my hair so that a child or young adult would benefit from it.”
Each Hays Travel branch is provided with a £500 budget to use for fundraising and charity work in their local area; £200 of this is to be used to fundraise for charities which support young people’s mental health, and the other £300 can be used for charities chosen by the branch.
In the last year, Hays Travel’s Local Community Partnership initiative across its retail network has donated more than £177,000 to local charities.
